MNKR 2008 Hasshakai - New Year's Tournament
We gathered on January 19th to celebrate the new year and hold our 2008 Hasshakai. The event included regular practice, a taikai and then an after party involving lots of sushi! View just some of the pictures below!

MN Kyudo Renmei - Indoor Dojo (photos)
As part of our regular practices we are now scheduling some Saturday
afternoon practices in the larger gymnasiums of the Middle School and
the High School. Today we were able to set up a full distance (28m)
kyudojo in the Middle school gym with some creative planning (and only
one extra trip to the hardware store!). This type of setup is typical
for some other, more established states and what you would see at a
national kyudo seminar, but it is a first for us here in MN. See our
calendar for more info about our practice schedule.
The 11th Annual American Kyudo Seminar (click here)
These photos are mostly of the sharei (ceremonial shootings) at this year's seminar. The seminar was hosted by the Indiana Kyudo Renmei
at Butler University in Indianapolis. The seminar was June 3rd to June
5th, and then there was a day of rank testing on June 6th.
